Yumi Hashimoto

Born in Southern California, pianist Yumi Hashimoto has performed as a soloist, collaborative pianist and vocal accompanist throughout Southern California, New Jersey and New York City.

Specialized in classical repertoire, she holds a bachelor's degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills and master's degree from the Manhattan School of Music.

She has been a piano instructor since 2001 where she gained her musical teaching skills and experience from the Yamaha School of Music and has been teaching extensively to both group and private settings to all ages and levels. She finds every student unique and is always willing to accommodate to their needs and interests. 

In addition to accompanying vocalists specializing in the operatic repertory around New York City she has been the primary accompanist at St. Hilda’s and St. Hugh’s since 2013 playing for choir rehearsals, musical events and concerts.
