Dr. Jingci Liu

Pianist Dr. Jingci Liu, a native of Tianjin, China, is an internationally celebrated soloist, chamber musician, and educator whose artistry has won critical acclaim and captivated audiences around the world. She is the recipient of multiple Grand Prizes, including top honors at the Concert Artists International Piano Competition, the New York Classical International Music Competition, GOCAA International Piano Competition, William Knabe International Piano Competition, and the Medici International Music Competition.
Internationally, Dr. Liu has performed across Asia, Europe, and North America, appearing at the Conservatoire Américain de Fontainebleau (France) as one of eight full-scholarship pianists, as well as the International Keyboard Institute and Festival (IKIF), Beijing International Music Festival, and the Eastern Music Festival. She was also invited to perform at distinguished diplomatic venues, including the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China and the German Consulate General, Bohemian National Hall in New York.
A KNS Classical Artist, Dr. Liu recently released her debut album Portrait of Beauty, a whole-female-composer’s project through three centuries which received glowing reviews from New York Concert Review, praising her “true legato” and “quiet virtuosity that involves control and sustained intimacy,” and Fanfare Magazine ranked her CD as “Not To Be Missed,” calling her playing “is full of color, with both sensitivity and virtuosity.”
