At Lindeblad School of Music we are dedicated to providing the right tools to foster the highest musical potential in every student. All guitar students are taught systematically in the following areas: technique, musicianship, sight-reading and theory. Beginner students start with a traditional classical guitar playing approach. Students wanting to pursue electric and acoustic guitar studies focusing on genres like pop, rock or jazz are encouraged to tailor a personalized curriculum with their instructor based on the same motto of discipline and with the same serious approach of study but with the freedom of exploring different musical forms.
Lessons are offered on classical, acoustic, and electric guitar as well as fretted instruments like bass guitar, ukulele, banjo, and mandolin. We offer various performance opportunities, assessment options, as well as Ensemble playing opportunities. The LSM guitar ensemble is one of the top level youth guitar ensembles in NJ, performing three consecutive years at Carnegie Weill Recital Hall.
We also offer a Pre-College program in preparation for auditions, competition and career-building for serious students focused on attending music school and pursuing music as a career.

"Learning to play and be a musician myself has taken my joy to a new level." - Ken from West Caldwell NJ
"The discipline that’s required and learned through practicing will definitely carry on with me to other facets of my life." - Dan from Fairfield NJ
